Mizuno Neo Zen 2 – An Every Day Running Shoe Offering Exceptional Bounce
Mizuno have launched the Neo Zen 2 and this shoe is built for runners seeking a bouncy and efficient daily running trainer that is engineered with stability and comfort in mind. The Neo Zen 2 is built on the success of the first iteration of the Neo Zen and is designed around three core pillars: bounce, efficiency and technical simplicity.
Bounce – Mizuno’s signature Smooth Speed Assist (SSA) technology is utilised in the rearfoot and toe off to enhance the smoothness of the ride. The SSA helps to reduce load on the lower leg and offer support, while enabling a more efficient running stride for a wide range of paces and running styles.
Efficient gait – Mizuno’s signature SMOOTH SPEED ASSIST (SSA) technology is utilised in the rearfoot and toe off to enhance the smoothness of the running experience. The SSA angle is less aggressive than the Rebellion series and Hyperwarp Pro, to better accommodate for a variety of paces and intentions for each runner of the Neo Zen 2
Technical simplicity – A minimalist design approach is taken to the engineered mesh and colourways, paying homage to Mizuno’s Japanese heritage and continual pursuit for technical simplicity across the entire running range.
The new Neo Zen 2 utilises an updated Mizuno Energy NXT Nitrogen infused midsole, offering an improved level of stability and control for the runner than the original Neo Zen. This NXT Nitrogen-infused foam is also present in the heel wedge to maximise stability.
